Cattery of cats of breed Maine Coon «Maine Coon of my dreams»

Fight against FIP and FCOV. We won! 22.11.2021 Expensive therapy for all cats was performed, on which hundreds of thousands of dollars were spent.
Now our cattery is completely free from feline coronavirus, Enteric Coronavirus (FCoV)
and its possible dire consequences (fortunately unlikely in the past) in the form of FIP.

As a nucleoside analog it acts as an RdRp inhibitor, targeting the viral genome replication process.
The RdRp is the protein complex FCoV use to replicate their RNA-based genomes.
After the host metabolizes compound into active NTP, the metabolite competes with adenosine
triphosphate (ATP; the natural nucleotide normally used in this process) for incorporation into the nascent RNA strand.
The incorporation of this substitute into the new strand results in premature termination of FCoV RNA synthesis,
completely halting the growth of the RNA strand after a few more nucleotides are added.
